Scan data can easily be utilized to explore any spatial issue. Sight lines and environmental obstructions can be accurately evaluated. Viewpoints of drivers and witnesses can be identified, evaluated and demonstrated.
Furthermore, objects within the scene can be removed or introduced, allowing exploration of various ‘what-if’ scenarios. For instance, it would be possible to evaluate the difference in visibility down a tree-lined street versus the same street with the trees digitally removed, or for various scenarios of parked vehicles including vehicles of various types
In the above video, computer generated models of various heights were imported into a digital environment made up of scan data to evaluate how parked vehicles would obstruct visibility at an intersection.
